Smoothie #1:  The Acai Power Bowl

Acai berries boast the highest known food concentration of antioxidants in it’s freeze dried form, along with 19 amino acids, 17 minerals, vitamins, and omegas 3, 6, and 9. !

With a protein profile similar to an egg, an essential fatty acid profile similar to olive oil, low sugar and low GI, and an ORAC (antioxidant value) higher than blueberries, pomegranate, red wine and even Goji – It’s a true powerhouse, tastes delicious and rightfully deserves to be our first smoothie recipe!

To make the Acai Power Bowl Smoothie you need:

  • 2 bananas handful
  • frozen berries of choice ( I suggest raspberries)
  • handful pineapple
  • 1 tsp acai powder
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup natural yoghurt
  • almond milk to blend to desired consistency

Let’s get started..

Get your blender or food processor out and place all ingredients into it and watch all those beautiful fruits combine! If you have your personal favourite fruit feel free to swap any of the above fruits for your loved one(s)! Try endless combinations!
When the smoothie has the desired consistency top it up with your favourite granola, cacao nibs, cacao crunch, goji berries, goldenberries  or even more fruit! YUM, I’m going to have one right now. Enjoy yours!
